The Bat For Lashes' song 'What's a Girl to Do?' from the album 'Fur and Gold' is matched well for its dark, mysterious and interesting character and has the strong fingerprints of director Dougal Wilson all over it. The British artist Natasha Khan simply rides on her bicycle at night on a lonely street singing about her relationship dilemma as suddenly 6 anonymous animal masked riders appear from behind her who clap and do minor stunts 'n sync with the hip beat. The video reminds fans of Donnie Darko, Amero, The Shining and other goth-like movies as it definitely has an eerie yet pleasant appeal. Her amazing voice permeates along with that great beat that you just may not be able to get out of your head. It is nominated for Music Video of the Year for 2007 at PLUG 2008 Independent Music Awards.
