Indeed Maximo Park's music video for their highly recognised song "Our Velocity" was a mixture of interesting camera work; mulitplicity and high energy especially from the frontman and the keyboardist who was quite animated to say in the least. The opening sequence of the video really catches attention with an inverted view of band members walking into a room with a metallic blur giving a space-like feel. It's almost as if they are in a kind of 'nowhere' white room. Is this somewhat like that of the prototype of the Matrix? Whatever is happening, it is certainly linked to the lyrics about re-evaluating and finding out one's place after being swallowed in a system that one has been devoted to or simply born and cultured into.
