'None Shall Pass' by a pigheaded artiste

Well, if you have seen his music video for his hit indie hip hop title song for 2007 "None Shall Pass" you will exactly know what is meant, and knowing of Aesop Rock he is not afraid to go out on the unconventional limb and be a bit wierd. His originality and innovation is expressed in the lyrics of the song, as well as the concept and progression of the video. He worked with Jeremy Fish, a San Francisco based illustrator and Artist and also a graphics team called Ordinary Kids who are also from San Francisco. Amidst the cartoony humour that the video gives, it may be quite puzzling to some. The main character is a human heart with wings on an inverted skull that flies throughout the video and is actually the judge of all the characters that wear the customes of animals that depict: their individual personality, how they judge others and how they are judged by others. Aesop shows that he can be pigheaded, lionhearted or whatever like anyone else.
This video is one of the twelve (12) nominated for the Music Video of the Year for 2007 at at the PLUG 2008 Awards that will be held in New York City on March 6.
